Out of general types of blood cancers (Lymphoma, Leukemia, and Lymphoma), leukemia accounts for 36 % of the cases according to the American Cancer Society. Leukemia is the cancer of the blood forming tissues, which includes the bone marrow and the lymphatic system in the body.
