It is also said that many ferro-brucites, which are inadequately described in the literature, can be either coalingite or coalingite-rich mixtures. Chemically, coalingite mineral is a compound of 5 elements- carbon, hydrogen, iron, magnesium and oxygen. It is soft and it occurs at a depth of 20ft to 30ft in 0.1 mm to 0.2 mm thickness.
